This is one of my favorite genealogy documents. It is an application for pension for my Great-Great-Great Grandfather Charles W. Haynes. Enlarge to full size for best detail. In the application he states he is old and unable to work. He is filing this application and assisted by his third wife (Each time he remarried he married a younger girl half his age) This guy had a LOT of kids!!! Anyways There are a lot of signatures from some of Madison Florida’s early civic leaders as witnesses.
